Wildflowers along the Stream- Riccardo Chirici

Riccardo Chirici is Italian, born in Livorno. He began painting in 1973 as a self-taught artist, but then attended the Livorno Art School “Trossi Uberti", directed by Master Voltolino Fontani. Chirici was influenced by Walter Cecchi from whom he learned the engraving technique, often used in his works. In 1991 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and later won the 1st prize in the City of Livorno art contest. Today his works are highly collectible for their vibrant capture of nature in his native country.  This is a charming scene of a stream rolling through a blend of wildflowers in all colors.  Oil on board, signed lower left.
