 Yves Ganne (1931-2019)  was French. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes and with Fernand Leger in Paris. He successfully exhibited at the Prix de la Jeune Peinture in 1950 and was awarded the Prix de la Ville Menton in the same year. He held his first Paris Exhibition in 1954 at Drouant David’s, and a second in 1957. He also exhibited in London at Tooth and Sons. Today his works are present in museums such as the Musee d’Art Moderne in Paris and the Museum of the City of Paris - impressive  honors both.  Note the unique quality where he manages to impart a dreamy quality while still offering the bold colors! This Post-Impressionist work is Oil on canvas, signed lower right in original frame. Inscription on verso. Measurements with frame 26.5” X 19.5”, without frame 21”X14.5”
