Saint Memes River - Georges Ledogard
This Georges Ledogard (1970-1940) oil on canvas is signed and dated 1931, lower left. The French Artist exhibited at the Paris Art Salons between 1899-1911. He received Honorable Mention at the Salon d'Automne in both 1901 and 1902. Influenced by the French Impressionist Movement, he opend a studio in Paris after WWI, where he painted on comission, including two works by the city of Paris in 1926. The painting has great balance and clarity, an appealing sky and reflection on the water, making it suitable for many applications. The size is larger, but not too much so.
