Le Potager - Jean Pierre Dubord
This work is by Jean Pierre Dubord, born in 1949. He is French and considered one of the great painters of the Rouen school of France. He is known for his post-impressionist style with work primarily based in Normandy, Brittany and Venice, and also the Siene as his primary subjects. In 1985 he received honorable mention at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. He has held exhibition exhibitions in Tokyo, New York, Chicago, Palm Beach and Miami. This work is of a French garden... a "poteger", after the word for soup, designed to be both productive and visually appealing, with fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs. A charming scene of the French lifestyle! This Dubord is a bit larger than some of the others that we've had the pleasure of procuring. This is oil on canvassigned lower right and inscribed by the artist on verso. It is in it's original frame as well.
Measurements 29.5x25 with frame, 25 x 20.5 without.
Condition very good
