James Henry Millar (1863-1929) was an English painter, born in London. He was a member of the Fine Art Club, and was considered to be one of the best artists of the Norwhich School. Millar exhibited at both the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute. The late Queen Elizabeth II owned a Millar painting that today hangs in Osborne House on the Isle of Wright. Such a respected painter that today, some of his works hang in the National Collection of the Royal Academy. This stunning piece reverberates with color, is oil on canvas, in striking original frame, signed lower left. Label on verso.

Measurements with frame 29”X23”, without frame 23”X17”.
