Flowers Field - Georges Taillefer
Georges Taillefer (1921-2006) Post-Impressionist oil on board in original frame, signed lower right in his bold autograph. Taillefer was a French artist from the Occitane region. He began his craft in the picturesque city of Rouen and later moved to Paris where he not only painted, but also became an architect. Known for his affiliation with Albert Malet, he joined the Rouen School as one of the leading post-impressionist artists of the day. His work seems perenially joyful, celebrating the true beauty of his country. This confident but charming view of a feld of bright flowers flanked trees will own it's place in any room.
