Dauchot (1927-2005) was a French artist who studied under Othon Friesz and Yves Brayer. In 1942 he exhibited at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Independants at the remarkable age of 15! Known for his expressionist style with impasto flavor, beloved by mid-century afficianados, his work is quintesentially French and is full of whimsey and imagination. It is signed lower left.
