"Nature-printed" Sea Fern prints, dated 1859 - Henry Bradbury SERIES
We’re delighted to offer these vivid prints of the “nature printed” process developed by Alios Auer and perfected by Henry Bradbury. The unique process consisted of pressing of a plant - in this case, lovely sea ferns - into a plate of soft lead, leaving a richly and authentically detailed impression from which an electrotype is made. We have of a series of 35 originals in shades of green and hues of red, pink and plum. Four examples are shown here; reach out to us to view more options available.
Condition: Good for age and medium.
