These wonderful fish are part of a series dated 1862. Original and on hand laid paper, they are part of Jonathan Couch's Guide to the Fish of the British Islands. Sketches done by Alexander Lydon and engravings executed by Benjamin Fawcett. All plates are finished by hand, each plate measures 10x16. Part of a series of 30, priced and sold individually. Name of fish is on print, the collection includes several sharks. Note that there are two varieties in the same series - one includes sketched environment in background, other is "neat".
