Artist Alexandre Rigotard (1871-1944) gives us this fantastic and colorful post impressionist work. It's oil on board, signed lower left in the original frame. He was French, born in Grenoble, and studied under the remarkable and lauded artist Rocherarosse, but his style emerged as bolder and more direct. In 1905 he exhibited at the prestigious Salon des Artistes in Paris. He later held exhibitions in Algers and Tunis, and exhibited with consistent success al all of the Paris Art Salons! Today his works are present in museums in Paris, Grenoble, Nice, Lyon and Amsterdam. This piece pops with color and vitality!
